- Hatim has 20+ years of experience across the public and private sector, in leadership roles in listed companies both multinational and local.
Before joining SCEGA, Hatim was the RCRC lead for the digital economy development of Riyadh, where he workedwith national government entities to build a tech and digital economy befitting the aspirations of the country’s leadership and the capital’s residents. Hatim also led the Riyadh Expo 2030 team during the technical bid development and submission, in collaboration with 20+ government entities.
Before joining RCRC in 2020, Hatim served in several leadership roles at Careem from its early days as a series B startup until its acquisition by Uber. First in Saudi country management (~$200m topline), and later in tech, where Hatim was the Senior Director leading the commercial and product development of a portfolio of services (including AI-based) for Careem’s ride-hailing business across MENAP.
Previously, as an industry head at Google and as a partner in a boutique consulting firm, Hatim has been an advisor to senior leaders in the public and private sector on capturing value from the digital economy through relevant digital platforms and marketing.
Before his MBA, Hatim held marketing roles in Unilever and Emaar EC.
Hatim holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in EE from KFUPM.
