Biography:: Margaret Ma Connolly is President & CEO of Informa Markets in Asia. She joined UBM Plc in 2008, which combined with Informa Plc in 2018. Margaret oversees a diverse portfolio of more than 200 brands, which include industry-leading exhibitions and marketing services across 14 countries and regions.

In the last 16 years, she has spearheaded multiple milestones in key market sectors and successfully scaled the business through organic development and strategic partnerships. Margaret is passionate about developing talent and advocate for MICE collaborative actions. She is a member of WomenExecs on Boards (WEoB) and National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Margaret currently serves as a non-executive director on the board of S4 Capital Plc and Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA).

Prior to joining Informa, she held senior management positions at TNT (now Fedex) and Global Sources (now Clarion Events). She co-founded the leading online expat community ShanghaiExpat (acquired by Ringier AG) with extensive e-commerce product development and management consulting experience in North America and Asia Pacific. Margaret is also a member of Common Purpose Dao Xiang advisory board.

She received an MBA degree from Oxford Brooks Business School and Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business school. She is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology with a focus on AI and Strategy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
